Roger Hiorns (*1975, Binningham, UK) is a leading artist of his generation. In 2009 he was nominated for the renowned Turner Prize. The exhibition at Kunsthaus CentrePasquArt, which will subsequently be presented at Galerie Rudolfinum, Prague, is his largest solo show to date.

Roger Hiorn’s installations and sculptures generate and fill gaps between disparate ideas: between construction and destruction, theology and technology, temporariness and performance, temporariness and permanence, authoritarian control and spontaneity.

His work is shaped by a functional material presence, which however is always combined with a sense of imaginary, poetic or esoteric.
